Don and his wife Sue purchased the Vest Funeral Home in 1969. Don graduated from St. James Catholic High School in Chester, PA in 1954. Then he completed one year at Pennsylvania Military College before attending Indiana College of Mortuary Science in Indianapolis, Indiana graduating in 1957 as a Funeral Director and Embalmer. For ten years he managed the old Feeney-Kirby Mortuary on Meridian Street, a subsidiary of Flanner & Buchanan Mortuaries in Indianapolis . He is currently a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in Indiana and Coroner of Scott County, Indiana.

Besides the Office of Coroner, he is a past City Councilman from 1972 to 1979. He currently is the President for the Scottsburg Water Department. He also is on the Board of Directors at the Scottsburg Building & Loan Association and past director of the Scott County Community Foundation. Don and Sue are members of the Church of the American Martyrs. Don is a member of the Knights of Columbus, Kiwanis Club, Fraternal Order of Police, Indiana Coroners Association, Indiana Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors Association, Independent Funeral Directors Association of Indiana, Selected Independent Funeral Homes, Association of Indiana Counties and Charter Governor of the Scott County Moose Family Center #2324. In the past he has served on numerous other boards and organizations.

Kevin has been employed at the firm since 1985. He graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1980 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1985 from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana. He entered Mid-America College of Funeral Service graduating with an Associate Degree in Mortuary Science. He is currently an Indiana licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, Certified Medicolegal Death Investigator, Deputy Coroner of Scott County and a licensed Insurance Agent. In 1988, he married the former Kim Newport and they are the parents of three daughters, Kelsie, Madeline, and Mollie.

Kevin has served as elected Coroner for two terms prior to accepting an appointment to the Board of Trustees at Scott Memorial Hospital where he is currently Chairman. In addition, he is a member and Past President of the Scottsburg Lions Club, past Board of Director for the United Way of Scott County, member of the Knights of Columbus, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 2324, Church of the American Martyrs, Scott County Democrat Club, Fraternal Order of Police, Indiana State Coroner's Association, Indiana Funeral Directors Association, Independent Funeral Directors Association of Indiana, Association of Indiana Counties and Selected Independent Funeral Homes.

Don has been employed at the firm since 1996. He graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1976 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1980 from Marian College in Indianapolis, Indiana. He worked as a chemist in the Rubber & Plastics Industry from 1980 to 1996. He entered Mid-America College of Funeral Service, graduating with an Associate Degree in Mortuary Science. He is currently a licensed Indiana Funeral Director, and Embalmer, Medicolegal Death Investigator and Chief Deputy Coroner and a licensed Insurance Agent.

In 1995, he married the former Angela Jill Amick. Don has one daughter, Ashley Collins. His wife, Jill, is currently employed with Cotton and Allen Accounting Firm in Louisville, Kentucky.

Don is a member of the Scottsburg Lions Club, Treasurer and Board of Director for the Scott County United Way, Treasurer of the Scottsburg Alumni Association, Loyal Order of the Moose, Scottsburg First Christian Church, Indiana State Coroner's Association, Indiana Funeral Directors Association, Independent Funeral Directors of Indiana and Selected Independent Funeral Homes.
