Don has been employed at the firm since 1996. He graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1976 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1980 from Marian College in Indianapolis, Indiana. He worked as a chemist in the Rubber & Plastics Industry from 1980 to 1996. He entered Mid-America College of Funeral Service, graduating with an Associate Degree in Mortuary Science. He is currently a licensed Indiana Funeral Director, and Embalmer, Medicolegal Death Investigator and a licensed Insurance Agent.

In 1995, he married Angela "Jill" Amick.  He has three children, Ashley, Gavin and Mia Collins. 

Don currently serves as a Deputy Coroner for Scott County and is on the City of Scottsburg Water Board.
