Ashley Dowling, 30, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022, at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on January 10, 1992 in Salem, Indiana and was the loving daughter of Lea Glover. Ashley graduated in 2010 from Austin High School, where she learned the love of basketball. She enjoyed spending time with friends, making people laugh, listening to music, and animals. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Alvin Glover; and paternal grandmother, Vickie Hernandez. Survivors include her mother, Lea Glover of Scottsburg, Indiana; three brothers, Jacob Akemon of Scottsburg, Indiana, Joshua (Tasha) Whitehead of Austin, Indiana, and Ryan (Anna) Hurtt of Florida; two sisters, Katrina (John) White of Tennessee and Kesley Dowling of Tennessee; maternal grandmother, Linda Glover of Scottsburg, Indiana; paternal grandfather, Willie Hernandez of Mexico; nieces and nephews, Audrie, Blayke, Emma, Zachary, Jayden, Oliver, Alexandria, Katelynn, Aubrie, John Jr., Abigail, Oliver, Eleanor, Brittany, Kaitlin, and Sierra; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Alex Riley officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
