Ella Mae Lamaster, a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. She was born in Harrison, Ohio on July 24, 1934, to the late Forrest E. Hiler and Nellie (Biddle) Hiler. On April 13, 1956 she married the love of her life, Morris K. "Mousie" Lamaster, who preceded her in death on July 28, 1996. Ella Mae cherished her family above all else, finding joy in tending to her rose garden and cheering on her favorite dirt track racers. In addition to her parents and husband, Mousie, Ella Mae was preceded in death by one daughter, Millie Smallwood; one sister, Shirley Bush; and two brothers, Donald Hiler and Douglas Hiler. She will be dearly missed by her son, Pete Lamaster; three daughters, Carol Ross, Gail (Jim) Short, Peggy Ross; two brothers, Marvin (Penny) Hiler and Edward C. (Patsy) Hiler; three sisters, Marjorie Burr, Judy (Terry) Stone, and Patsy (Roy) Snell; six grandchildren, Sarah (Jered) Webster, Adam "AJ" Short, Evan Short, Morgan (Tony) Terranova, Austin (Michelle) Ross, and Jason (Kristy) Smallwood; eleven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Service 3:00 pm Sunday, May 19, 2024, at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Pastor Mitchell Hutchinson officiating. Visitation 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm Sunday. Interment to follow services at Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, Indiana. Memorial Contributions to Schneck Hospice c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
