Gary Allen Gibson, 58, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on May 29, 2024 in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born on January 25, 1966, in Scottsburg, Indiana to the late Gary and Betty Sue (Thomas) Gibson. Early in life, Gary started his career in construction and then went on to work at Tri Hawk in Austin, Indiana. Gary was a simple man who found joy in the little things in life. He cherished the time spent with his children, playing basketball and softball, always encouraging them to give their best. A lover of the outdoors, Gary was often found fishing. He was an active member of AA at the Presbyterian Church in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents; and infant brother, Jeffrey Gibson. Gary is survived by four sons, Dale (Brittney) Gibson, Jeff (Cassidy) Gibson, Derrick McFadden, and Dustin McFadden; daughter, Darci McFadden; sister, Lisa (Danny) Dunn; and thirteen grandchildren, Kailyn, Bryair, Ali, Taylor, David, Lexi, Connor, Hunter, Bryson, Lucas, Raylynn, Peyton, and Amari. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
