Mary Brough of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at the BeeHive Homes of Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on January 29, 1930 in Perry County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late John Sandlin and Dora (Johnson) Sandlin. On September 9, 1951 Mary married the love of her life, Harry E. Brough, who passed away on November 23, 1995. They had a beautiful life together and always enjoyed spending time out in their garden. She was a longtime member of the Kimberlin Creek Baptist Church in Scottsburg, Indiana. Mary was a past president of the Scott County Republican Women's Club and a longtime supporter of the Republican Party. In her spare time she enjoyed watching University of Kentucky sports, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the Scottsburg Warriors. Mary always enjoyed watching all of her nieces and nephews as they grew up playing sports. In addition to her parents and husband of forty-four year, Harry, Mary was preceded in death by her ten siblings, Raymond, Joe, Bert, Fred, John, Roy, Estil, Claude, Carolee, and Dora. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral Service 11:00 am Saturday, November 18, 2023 at the First Christian Church in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, November 17, 2023 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana and after 10:00 am Saturday prior to services at the First Christian Church.
