Minnie E. Coats, 85, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at University Of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on March 20, 1937 in Dizney, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late John Cox and Cora (Harp) Cox. Minnie was a former employee of the old Aero Drapery Company in Louisville, Kentucky. She was a member of the Chelsea Church of God in Chelsea, Indiana. Minnie married Ronald Galen Coats, who passed away on December 12, 1997. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, Pauline Horn, Irene Thomas, Jewell Daughtetry and Opal Sharp and three brothers, Winston, Luther and Zerel Cox. Survivors include her daughter, Jeanene L. Coats of Scottsburg, Indiana and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Service: 1:00 pm, Monday June 27, 2022 at Chelsea Church of God in Chelsea, Indiana with Rev. Terry Eversole officiating. Visitation: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Monday June 27, 2022 at Chelsea Church of God. Interment at Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, Indiana.
