Ada Robbins, 81, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on December 16, 1939 in Hazard , Kentucky, the daughter of the late William Carmack and Orleana (Deaton) Carmack. On March 21, 1958 she married James Luther Robbins, who survives. She was a longtime member of New Providence Baptist Church in Austin, Indiana. Ada loved to bowl and watch her hummingbirds. She use to participate in their local bowling league and attend classic car shows for many years with her husband. Ada was a former employee of U.S. Shoe in Crothersville, Indiana and retired from Walmart Distribution Center in Seymour, Indiana. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her one brother, Billy Ray Carmack and one sister, Athalean Carmack. Survivors include her husband, Luther Robbins of Scottsburg, Indiana; son, Robbie R. Robbins of Scottsburg, Indiana; daughter, Rhonda K. (Tom) Cutshall of Austin, Indiana; three sisters, Anna Lee Burns and Dana Herald both of Scottsburg, Indiana, and Brenda (Ed) Pennington of Austin, Indiana; two grandchildren, Matthew (April) Cutshall of Owensboro, Kentucky and Derin (Tallas) Cutshall of Crothersville, Indiana; and four great grandchildren, Teagan and Tatum Cutshall of Crothersville, Indiana and Maddox and Parker Cutshall of Owensboro, Kentucky. Funeral Service: 11:00 am Saturday, September 18, 2021 at New Providence Baptist Church in Austin, Indiana with Pastor Randy King officiating. Visitation: 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, September 17, 2021 at the church and after 9:00 am Saturday at New Providence Church. Interment will follow at New Providence Cemetery in Austin, Indiana.
