Addie Coomer, 91, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on August 29, 2024, at her home with her family by her side. She was born on April 18, 1933, in Scottsburg, Indiana, to the late Dillard Eldridge and Ludy (Chandler) Eldridge. She lived her whole life as a dedicated homemaker. On March 8, 1953, Addie married the love of her life, Fred Coomer, who passed away on February 9, 2007. Addie was known for her love of shopping at Dillard's, indulging in meals at Texas RoadHouse, and her passion for travel. In addition to her parents and husband, Fred, Addie is preceded in death by one son, Lonnie Ray Coomer; three brothers, Lawrence, Elmer, and Charles Eldridge; and three sisters, Mary Middleton, Elsie Huckleberry, and Beatrice Everitt. Addie is survived by four daughters, Linda Davis of West Palm Beach, Florida, Sharon Alvey, Karen Taylor, and Roxanne Mullins all of Scottsburg, Indiana; three sons, Rick (Rhonda) Coomer of Austin, Indiana, Terry Coomer and Bobby (Christy) Coomer both of Scottsburg, Indiana; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 1:00pm at Collins Funeral Home with Matthew Craig officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service on Tuesday, from 10:00am to 1:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at New Providence Cemetery in Austin, Indiana.
