Alice Lee Burns, 82, of Austin, Indiana passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was born on July 26, 1941, in Lerose, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Charlie McIntosh and Emily Jane (Caudill) McIntosh. On May 23, 1959, she married Rev. Don Burns, who passed away on March 15, 2013. She was a member of the Broadway Pentecostal Church and a homemaker. Alice loved her family, God, and gardening. She spent as much of her time she could out in her garden planting vegetables and flowers of all kinds. In addition to her parents and husband, Don, Alice was preceded in death by three brothers, Russell, Robert "Bob", and Rev. Marvin McIntosh; and one sister, Juanita Hargis. Survivors include daughter, Janet Burns of Austin, Indiana; brother, Roy McIntosh of Austin, Indiana; two sisters, Rosetta Gross of Austin, Indiana and Louise Brooks of Scottsburg, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Broadway Pentecostal Church in Austin, Indiana with Pastor Johnny Bowling & Pastor Richard Jones officiating. Visitation 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Wednesday. Interment to follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Austin, Indiana.
