Alice F. Nichols, 83, of Lexington, Indiana passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022 at Nortons Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on July 3, 1939 in Scott County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Clyde and Henrietta (Maurer) Boley. Alice graduated from Lexington High School. She was a proud member of Chelsea Church of God. On February 22, 1956 she married Melvin Nichols, who survives. Alice enjoyed shopping and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, James Boley, Charles Boley, William Boley, Joe Boley, Raymond Boley, Clyde Boley Jr., Ida Whitlatch, and Helen Brandt. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Melvin Nichols of Lexington, Indiana; sons, Terry (Beverly) Nichols of Columbus, Indiana and Mark (Glenda) Nichols of Lexington, Indiana; her six grandchildren, Josh (Kelly) Nichols, Tammie (Scott) Miller, Kelsey (Brad) Burkett, Corey (Ashley) Nichols, Jason (Vicky) Nichols, and Kristi Nichols (Patrick Lynch); and nine great grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Rev. Terry Eversole officiating.  Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Collins Funeral Home. Interment at Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, Indiana.
