Allyson Griffin

Allyson Griffin, 78, of Lexington, Indiana previously of Davidson, Tennessee passed away May 13, 2026, at Lake Pointe Village in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on April 1, 1948 in Davidson County, Tennessee, to the late Earl Nuckols and Virginia (Milliken) Nuckols. Allyson worked for the Internal Revenue Service, a role that reflects her meticulous nature and commitment to service. Beyond the workplace, she was an avid collector, her passion for antiques filling her home with cherished memories and stories. She took great pleasure in shopping, seeking treasures, and sharing her finds with those fortunate enough to know her. Allyson embraced life with a vibrant spirit and an unyielding zest for joy, famously sharing her birthday with a day dedicated to playful pranks and clever teasing. Allyson is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Virginia Nuckols; husband, Marty Griffin; and brother in law, Sam Chattin. She is survived by one sister, Mary (Sam) Chattin; one brother, Kenneth (Teresa) Nuckols; nieces and nephews, Mandi (Josh) Wade, Marc Chattin, Teale (Gemma) Chattin, Daniel (Chasity) Nuckols, Derek Nuckols; and great nieces and nephews, Ellyana, Kayla, Addy, Joseph, Garrick, Wyatt, and Paizlee. Graveside service for Allyson Griffin will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 11:30 AM at Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, Indiana.
