Amy Renee Yates, 24, of Lexington, Indiana passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021. She was born on March 8, 1997 in Jeffersonville, Indiana, the daughter of Micheal and Amanda (Bartlett) Yates. She was a Scottsburg High School graduate from the class of 2016. Amy was a member of the choir in school, and she always loved to sing. There was not one person who met Amy that did not love her. She was preceded in death by her two grandfathers, David Bartlett and Timothy Yates. Survivors include her parents, Micheal and Amanda Yates of Lexington, Indiana; daughter, Braylynn Yates of Lexington, Indiana; two sisters, Mikayla and Tessa Yates both of Lexington, Indiana; brother, Dallas Yates of Lexington, Indiana; two grandmothers, Kathy Dehart of Pekin, Indiana and Jenny Yates of Scottsburg, Indiana; great grandparents, Bill and Maxine Bartlett of Arkansas; great grandparents, Charles and Winnie Slinker of Austin, Indiana; aunts and uncles, Wendy and Phillip Osborn, Sharon and Joe Chapman, Jonathan Yates, Bradley Bartlett, and Jeremy and Mary Bartlett. Graveside Service: 1:00 pm Friday, September 17, 2021 at Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, Indiana with Tommy Blackwell officiating. Visitation: 10:00 am to 12:30 pm Friday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Internment will follow services at Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, Indiana.
