Ann Hickman, 72, of Austin, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. She was born on October 15, 1947 in Austin, Indiana, the daughter of the late Burnett Spellman and Eunice Elizabeth (Butler) Spellman. Ann attended Austin Schools and later earned her nursing degree from Ivy Tech in Sellersburg, Indiana. She was a retired registered nurse for the Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana, where she worked over 40 years. Ann attended the Church of the New Covenant in Austin, Indiana, was a member of the Jennings Township Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and loved to go shopping. Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Eversole (Bobby) of Austin, Indiana; her son, Rob Hickman of Scottsburg, Indiana; seven brothers, Carl Spellman (Gail) of Scottsburg, Indiana, Jerry Spellman (Josie) and Terry Spellman (Lori) all of Austin, Indiana, Kenny Spellman (Lori) of Underwood, Indiana, Robert Spellman (Carolyn), Ray Spellman (Sharon) and Lee Spellman (Joanie) all of Deputy, Indiana; three sisters, Bea Rudy of Sellersburg, Indiana, Donna Hammon (Sam) of Salem, Indiana and Barbara Spellman Taylor; four grandchildren, Daniel Eversole (Amanda), Jared Eversole (Kayse), Tinisha Hickman Densford (Chance), Robert Hickman (Megan) and their mother, Tammie Hickman and nine great grandchildren, Emily, Nicholas, Kallie Jo, Isaiah, Kamilah, Maverick, Marceline, Scarlett and Copper. Funeral Service: 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 18,2020 at Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Eversole officiating. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm on Saturday and after 11 am on Sunday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation and services will be open to the public as long as social distancing guidelines can be observed. Please follow the CDC's recommendations and guidelines while attending the services and face masks will be required due to the governor's executive mandate. Interment will be in New Providence Cemetery near Austin, Indiana.
