Barbara Shirley, 84, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at her residence. She was born on April 2, 1937 in Little York, Indiana, the daughter of the late Ralph and Mellicent (Lord) Moody. Barbara married William E Bieghler, who passed away on September 18, 1981. She was a homemaker and a member of Little York Christian Church. Barbara was a member of the Leota Frolic Committee, attended the Maple Syrup Festival where she enjoyed setting up her Rags to Rugs booth. In addition to her parents and first husband she was preceded in death by her son, Doug Bieghler; brother, Joe Moody; and stepson, Kevin Shirley. Survivors include: her husband of 32 years, Ivan Shirley; son, Don (Barbara) Bieghler of Little York, Indiana; two stepsons, Mark (Bonita) Shirley of Scottsburg, Indiana and Steve Shirley of California; brother, Wayne (Joyce) Moody of Columbus, Indiana; sister, Virginia White of Scottsburg, Indiana; five grandchildren, William J. (Abby) Bieghler, Travis Shirley, Ashton Shirley, Stephanie Haven, and Kayla (Chris) Shirley; and two great-grandchildren Ella Bieghler and Tucker Shirley. Funeral Service: 11:00 am Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Matt Craig officiating. Visitation: 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, August 20, 2021 and after 9:00 am on Saturday at Collins Funeral Home. Interment at Little York Cemetery in Little York, Indiana.
