Barbara Spicer, 74, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at her residence with her children by her side. She was born on May 19, 1947, in Scottsburg, Indiana, the daughter of the late Author and Elva Mae (Bowman) Fleenor. She was a former employee of the old Cardinal Health Care Center in Scottsburg, Indiana. Barbara was a member of the Scottsburg American Legion and VFW. She was a fun-loving woman who loved to dance and play cards. Barbara loved to spend time working outside, gardening, and tending to her house plants. Above all Barbara loved her family and spending time with them. In addition to her parents and late husband, Manuel, Barbara is preceded in death by her twin daughters, Rachel and Adeline Spicer; sister, Cleo Mull; and five brothers, Junior, Claudie, Steve, Rick, and Carl Fleenor. Survivors include daughter, Shelly Burlington of Scottsburg, Indiana; son, Jeremy Spicer of Scottsburg, Indiana; brother, Tim (Melody) Fleenor of Scottsburg, Indiana; granddaughter, Brittany Smith; and great grandson, Gauge Spicer. Funeral Service: 12:00 Noon Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Bro. Rodney Sweeney officiating.
