Bessie Ann Davidson, 77, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on October 23, 1945 in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to the late Rufus Lee Hardin and LaVerne (Gunther) Hardin. Bessie retired from Freudenberg NOK in Scottsburg, Indiana as a press operator. She was a member of Memphis Baptist. Bessie enjoyed scrapbooking, gardening, flowers, and cooking for her family. But most of all she enjoyed playing YATZEE. On January 23, 2000 in Scottsburg, Indiana she married Virgil Davidson, who survives. She was preceded in death by parents; two children, Donnie Blanton and DeWight Blanton; two brothers, Mike Hardin, and Jimmy Hardin; two sisters, Lora Hardin and Gloria Neal. Survivors include her husband, Virgil Davidson of Scottsburg, Indiana; one daughter, Dana (Corey) Boswell of Scottsburg, Indiana; one son, Donavon Blanton of Seymour, Indiana; four bonus children, Robert (Teresa) Davidson of Crothersville, Indiana, Barbara (Dean) Craft of Austin, Indiana, Krystal (Wes) Killey of Scottsburg, Indiana, and Kathy (Mike) Durham of Little York, Indiana; two brothers, Lynn Hardin of New Washington, Indiana and John Hardin of Lexington, Indiana; and one sister Cathy Hardin of Porterville, California. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Douglas Sullivan, Kyrsti (Nathan) Byers, Tyler Boswell, Cameron Blanton, Asa Blanton, Chris Blanton, Jacob (McKenzie) Davidson, Allison (Cody) Vannarsdall, Marissa (Meranda) Richey, Elizabeth Craft, and numerous great grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Randy King officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm Sunday at Collins Funeral Home. Private graveside services will be held at a later time at Charlestown Cemetery in Charlestown, Indiana.
