Beverly Jean Hicks, 68, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on August 8, 1951 in Salem, Indiana, the daughter of the late George W. Hicks and Maurine (Newby) Lueck. Beverly was the former owner and operator of the old Couch's Private Care Home in Austin, Indiana. She was a member of the Broadway Church of God in Austin, Indiana, enjoyed crafting, gospel concerts and playing bingo. In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her stepfather, Gale P. Lueck; a sister, Loretta Helm and a brother, Verdise "Butch" Hicks. Survivors include her sons, Gene Edward Maness and his wife Jennie of Lebanon Junction, Kentucky and Gerald Wayne Maness and his wife Jenny of Scottsburg, Indiana; three sisters, Teresa Banda and her husband Ramon of Austin, Indiana, Debra Gilbert and her husband Scott of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Sheena Hackstaff and her husband Eddie of Denver, Colorado; two brothers, Billy Ray Hicks and his wife Sandi of Firestone, Colorado and George "Bubby" Hicks and his wife Mindy of Wheat Ridge, Colorado; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service: 11:00 am on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Jones officiating. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm on Friday and after 9 am Saturday at Collins Funeral Home.
