Bobby Glenn Adkins

Bobby Glenn Adkins, 82, of Sellersburg, Indiana passed away on May 11, 2026, at Green Valley Care Center in New Albany, Indiana. He was born on July 29, 1943 in Hazard, Kentucky, to the late Walter Adkins and Alta (Gross) Adkins. Bobby graduated from Austin High School in 1962 and went on to earn a bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa. Professionally, Bobby was a dedicated Certified Public Accountant, contributing his expertise to the health care industry at Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Florida, and the old Methodist Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. In his spare time, Bobby enjoyed hunting and fishing, activities that brought him joy and allowed him to connect with nature and friends alike. Bobby is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Virginia Amick; and brother, Charles Adkins. Bobby is survived by his cherished wife Bonnie Adkins, whom he married on June 28, 1963. Together, they shared many adventures, living in both Indiana and Florida, where they created countless memories. He is also survived by his son, Bobby Adkins, Jr., sister-in-law Clara Adkins, brother-in-law Richard Hostetler; nieces, Debbie Starr and Teri Nichols; and several great-nieces and nephews. Funeral service for Bobby Adkins will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 3:00pm at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation will be on Friday prior to the service from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow services at Zoah Christian Church Cemetery, in Scottsburg, Indiana.
