Obituary

Bobby Dale Randolph, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully of natural causes on July 1, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on January 24, 1948, in Liberty, Kentucky to Val Randolph, Sr. and Sara Ellen Bryant Randolph, Bobby resided in Scottsburg, Indiana, where he built a life filled with laughter, love, and countless treasured memories.

Bobby was known for his warm spirit and was considered a dependable, forthright man by those who knew him. An avid jokester, he brought joy to gatherings with his playful sense of humor, and he enjoyed watching western movies that reflected his love for adventure and storytelling. Bobby had a passion for playing cards, particularly Rook, where he would often engage friends and family in spirited games filled with lighthearted banter.

As a grandfather, he found immeasurable joy in spending time with his grandchildren, embracing every moment with them. Bobby loved nurturing the beauty of nature, often found planting flowers and enjoying quiet afternoons on his porch. His love for cooking, camping, and boating reflected his appreciation for both the simple pleasures of home and the great outdoors.

Bobby is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Neva Walls Randolph; daughters, Melanie Riley and her husband, Sam and Mistee Smith and her husband, Shawn, grandchildren, Sara Breeze and her husband, John, Gregory Abrams, Bobby Dale Abrams, Paige Delisser and her husband, Dennis and Cody Layne Price. he is also survived by great-grandchildren, Kallie Lainhart, Camden Breeze, Emma Breeze and Reggie Delisser and sister-in-law, Nancy Randolph and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends and family who will miss him dearly. His legacy of love and laughter will forever be remembered by those whose lives he touched.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Ben Randolph and his wife, Lillian, Olas Randolph and his wife, Ruth, Wilfred Eugene Randolph and his wife, Kathleen and Val Randolph, Jr and sisters, Gladys Randolph and Phyllis Cannon and her husband, Rollon.

As we remember Bobby Dale Randolph, we take comfort in the profound impact he had on all of us-a loving family man who knew how to spread joy and kindness wherever he went. His spirit and humor will remain with us as we carry forward his legacy of love.
