Bobby Joe Righthouse, 81, passed away on November 10, 2024, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, Indiana. He was born on January 26, 1944, in Scottsburg, Indiana, to the late Icel and Dorothy (Abbott) Righthouse. Bobby was a truck driver for many years. He owned Righthouse Trucking and worked for Lucas Trucking, retiring in 2006. He enjoyed all things auto mechanics, making latch hook rugs, and watching old western movies. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Clifford (Pete) and Jimmy Righthouse. His survivors include his wife, Anita Righthouse of Scottsburg, Indiana; a son, Robert Allen Righthouse; four stepchildren, Scott, Kenneth, and Russell Alcorn, and Hollie Stacy; sister, Esther Jean Bobb; twelve step-grandchildren: Cessalie Alcorn, Dylon Alcorn, Elizabeth Laughlin, Tiffany Alcorn, Brittany Randall, Matthew Alcorn, Addison Alcorn, Marshall Chamberland, Logan Chamberland, Harley Patterson, Parker Stacy, and Marissa Beavers; and two great grandchildren, Dakota Lee Lineberry Alcorn and Rosalynn Howard. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Funeral service will be at 12:00 pm noon on Thursday, November 14, 2024.
