Bonnie Marie DeHart, 89, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at The Waters of Scottsburg. She was born on September 14, 1933, in Carrie, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Johnny Holland and Laura (Smith) Holland. She was owner of DeHart's Grocery Austin, Indiana with her husband James and a resident of Scott County for most of her life. Bonnie has always loved to work outside with her flowers. She also enjoys reading, crocheting, and making her bracelets. On February 20, 1954, she married James DeHart, who passed away July 31, 2003. In addition to her parents and husband, James, Bonnie is preceded in death by a son, James Phillip DeHart who died August 26, 1955, and two sisters, Elmo Holland and Wanda Jean Wilder. Survivors include two sons, Ronald G. (Karen) DeHart of Salem, Indiana and Christopher T. (Juanita) DeHart of Austin, Indiana; daughter, Teresa J. (Rick Price) Heilman of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; sister, Patricia Ann (Lewis) Neace-Rice of Austin, Indiana; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Funeral Service: 11:00 am Monday, March 20, 2023, at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Pastor Leland Parks officiating. Visitation: 11:00 am to 5:00 pm Sunday, March 19, 2023, and after 10 am Monday prior to the service at Collins Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana.
