Brent Rene Hargis, 35, of Crothersville, Indiana passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023. He was born on January 25, 1988 in Jefferson County, Kentucky, the son of the late William Charles Hargis and Roberta Lou (Stoffel) Hargis. Brent graduated from Scottsburg High School in the class of 2006. He later attended a special motorcycle mechanics school in Arizona. He was a former employee of Charlestown State Park where he worked in groundskeeping. Brent loved to be outside. He could always be found on a motorcycle, four-wheeler, or crotch rocket. Brent was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his daughter, Brylee Hargis Haney of Crothersville, Indiana; brother, Shane (Andrea) Hargis of Salem, Indiana; niece and nephews, Bradey, Halle, and Niles Hargis. In addition Brent is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will greatly miss him. Funeral Service: 8:00 pm Friday, July 28, 2023 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation prior to services 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday at Collins Funeral Home. Cremation was entrusted to Collins Funeral Home with interment at a later day in Forest Grove Cemetery.
