Brian Joseph Niccum, 67, of Madison, Indiana, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. He was born on March 4, 1953 in Madison, Indiana, the son of the late Ernest C. Niccum and Elizabeth A. (Huffington) Niccum. Brian graduated from Shawe High School and later attended a vocational school to be a mechanic. He was a retired mechanic and had worked for multiple owners at the Chrysler Dealership in Scottsburg, Indiana for 40 years. Brian was a member of the American Martyrs Catholic Church in Scottsburg, Indiana, the Knights of Columbus Council # 8052, enjoyed hunting and going to Cincinnati Red's games. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, David A. and Andrew Niccum. Survivors include a son, Joey Niccum and his wife Stacey of Scottsburg, Indiana; a daughter, Rebecca Perry and her husband Ryan of Salem, Indiana; four brothers, Gerald E. Niccum of Edinburgh, Indiana, Paul V. Niccum of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Charles E. Niccum of Rushville, Indiana and Frances E. Niccum of Scottsburg, Indiana; four grandchildren, Robert, Rhianna and Raewyn Perry and Easton Niccum; numerous nieces and nephews and his significant other, Janet Hatton. Funeral Service: 10:00 am on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at American Martyrs Catholic Church with Father Louis Manna officiating. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm on Wednesday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation and services will be open to the public as long as social distancing guidelines can be observed. Please follow the CDC's recommendations and guidelines while attending the services and face coverings are strongly encouraged. Interment will be in Scottsburg Cemetery.
