Carol J. Andrews, 91, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2020 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus. She was born on October 20, 1928 in Jeffersonville, Indiana, the daughter of the late Earl Thomas and Jessie (Sohn) Thomas. Carol graduated from Henryville High School. She was married to William D. Andrews, who preceded her in death on Dec. 18, 1991. Carol was a former employee of the old Charlestown Ammunition Plant in Charlestown, Indiana and also had worked as a receptionist at the old Best Western Hotel and Restaurant in Scottsburg, Indiana. She had belonged to several dance clubs and loved to dance earlier in her life. In addition to her husband and parents, Carol was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Judge. Survivors include her son, Doug Andrews and his wife Lisa of Scottsburg, Indiana; a sister, Sharon Jo Barger of Sellersburg, Indiana; two granddaughters, Paige Cornelius and Beth Paden and six great grandchildren. Private graveside services were held on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Scottsburg Cemetery. Services were entrusted to Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
