IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carol K.
Campbell
May 2, 1948 – July 15, 2025
With deep sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of Carol K. Campbell-a beloved sister, aunt, and friend on July 15, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on May 2, 1948, to Claude S. and Iva F. (Collings) Campbell of Underwood, Indiana, Carol was raised in a loving family where she learned the values of kindness, faith, and service-virtues that would guide her throughout her life.
A 1966 graduate of Henryville High School, Carol pursued her calling to help others through healthcare and ministry. She earned a bachelor's degree in medical technology from Indiana University Southeast in 1971 and served faithfully as a Registered Medical Technologist for many years. She retired in 2013 from St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis, where she was known for her dedication and compassion.
Carol further deepened her commitment to serving others by earning a Master of Divinity degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. She went on to serve as a chaplain with Marketplace Chaplains USA, offering hope, prayer, and comfort to patients and their families in hospitals and care settings.
She is survived by her loving siblings, Stephen Campbell of Underwood, Indiana, and Ruth Brown (husband, Lee) of Bloomington, Indiana; along with many nieces and nephews who will forever cherish her unwavering faith, boundless love, radiant joy, witty humor, and infectious laughter.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Iva Campbell, and eight siblings: John Paul Campbell, William Campbell, Doris Smith, Bertha Campbell, Carl Willard Campbell, Floyd Campbell, Hazel Bowen, and Samuel Campbell.
A graveside service celebrating Carol's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Scottsburg Cemetery, with Pastor David Schill officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance, sharing stories and honoring a life marked by grace, compassion, and devotion. Though Carol has left this earthly life, her legacy of faith, joy, and service will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
Memorial contributions may be made in Carol's name to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association. Messages of condolence and remembrance may be shared at www.collinsfuneralhome.net. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Collins Funeral Home of Scottsburg.
