Caroline P. Righthouse, 92, passed away on December 24, 2024, in Murfreesboro,

Tennessee. She was born April 23, 1932, in Scott County, Indiana to Clarence F. and Caroline Collingsworth Abbott-Rhynearson. Caroline graduated from Scottsburg High School, class of 1950. She retired as an underwriter for Old American States Insurance Company, Indianapolis, Indiana. She was an avid bridge player. Caroline is survived by her daughters, Lillian Jodi Norton of Frisco, Texas and Sherry Goad of Seymour, Indiana, two grandsons, Heath Goad of Murfreesboro, TN and Dan Narangi of Frisco, TX, and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by step-children, Donald B. Righthouse, William A. Righthouse, Penny S. Righthouse Gallagher and Paul D. Righthouse, several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Caroline is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Abbott, and Caroline Abbott-Rhynearson, the father of her children, Edward Norton, her husband, Charles Righthouse, brother, Rev. Thomas W. Abbott and four sisters, Lillian Lenore Reed, Dorothy May Righthouse, Cathleen Elizabeth Trueblood and Esther Anne Earl and step-daughter, Peggy A. Righthouse Howard. The graveside service will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, January 18, 2025, at New Bethel Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made in Caroline's name to American Heart Association or New Bethel Cemetery in c/o Collins Funeral Home.
