Catherine Taylor, a beloved homemaker from Lexington, Indiana, passed away on May 16, 2024, at the age of 84. She was born on October 22, 1939, in Grapevine, Kentucky, to the late Chief and Polly (Napier) Davidson. On July 9, 1957, Catherine married Paul R. Taylor who preceded her in death on January 15, 1999. Catherine filled her life with warmth and care for her family. With her gentle hands, she crafted beautiful quilts, lovingly canned vegetables, and tended to her blooming garden with great joy. In addition to her parents and husband, Paul, Catherine was preceded in death by one daughter, Joyce Molzof; four brothers, Soldier Davidson, Tommy Davidson, Grover Davidson, and Dale Davidson; and one sister, Glenna Davidson. Survivors include her three daughters, Pauline (Kimo) Aiona of Lexington, Indiana, Trish (Rudy) Lucas of Scottsburg, Indiana, and Kathy (Garey) Cozad of Panama; companion and best friend, Glen New; sister, Viola Gay; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Catherine's legacy of love and dedication will forever be cherished. Remembered for her kindness and unwavering support, Catherine's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Friends and family are invited to attend the public viewing at Collins Funeral Home on Monday, May 20, 2024, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and Tuesday 9:00 am prior to services. A funeral service will be held on May 21, 2024, at 11:00 am, at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Pastor Aaron Flucke. Interment will follow at Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana. Following the graveside service for Catherine there will be a meal prepared at Collins Family Center.
