Cecil and Bobbi Smith of Scottsburg, Indiana, died one day apart at Scott Memorial Hospital. They were married on July 25, 1969 and celebrated 50 years of life together this past year. Cecil graduated from Southwestern High School and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a retired maintenance supervisor for ILPEA in Scottsburg, Indiana, had worked for Dow Corning in Carrolton, Kentucky, International Harvester in Louisville, Kentucky and ARAMCO in Saudi Arabia. Cecil and Bobbi were co-owners of the Country General Store in Blocher, Indiana for 12 years. Cecil enjoyed working on their farm and Bobbi loved to paint and work in her flower gardens. They both loved horseback riding together. Cecil and Bobbi were preceded in death by their parents, many siblings and their youngest son, Toby Aaron Smith on July 1, 2006. They are survived by a daughter, Tammy Montana (Chuck) of Seymour, Indiana; two sons, Patrick Barnes of Scottsburg, Indiana and Shannon Smith (Sonya) of Lexington, Indiana; five grandchildren, Cody Smith, Kelsey Burr (Brandon), Regan Nicole Smith, Ashley Victoriano and Kyle Montana (Stephanie) and five great grandchildren. In addition, Cecil is survived by a brother, Jim Smith (Janet) of Carrolton, Kentucky; three sisters, Grace DeBell (Richard) of Carrolton, Kentucky, Ginni MacNamee of Flint, Texas and Katie Matson (David) of Campbellsville, Kentucky. Bobbi is survived by two sisters, Pam McKinney (Donnie) of Frankfort, Indiana and Sandy Mosier of Chapel Hill, North Carolina and three brothers, Johnny Bowen (Ellen) of Kokomo, Indiana, Frank Mosier (Janie) of Shelbyville, Indiana and Larry Mosier of Foley, Alabama. A Joint Funeral Service for Cecil and Bobbi will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 20, 2019 at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Mike LaFountain officiating. Visitation for Cecil and Bobbi will be held from 5 until 9 pm on Thursday and after 9 am on Friday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Interment will be in Kent Cemetery in Kent, Indiana with military honors by American Legion Post 9 honoring Cecil's service in Vietnam.
