Charles Lewis Blankenship, 52, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on August 24, 1969, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Wanda (Hatfield) Blankenship and James Blankenship, who survives. He was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Cicero, Illinois. On January 7, 2020, he rededicated his vows to Roberta (Brock) Blankenship, who survives. He was preceded in death by his mother. In addition to his father and wife, Charles is survived by two daughters, Kristian (Roy Haggard) Camper of Midlothian, Illinois and Kayla Camper of Salem, Indiana; son, James Brock of Scottsburg, Indiana; brother, James (Wanda) Blankenship of Lawrenceville, Georgia; sister, Emma (Andrew) Strickland of Shiloh, Georgia; four grandchildren; Benjamin, Jimmy, Eli, and Mia, many nephews; Christopher, James (Heather), Josh, Alex (Katherine), CJ; and nieces; Ashley (Travis), Susan (Scott); along with three great nephews; Bryson, SJ, and Hunter. Loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
