Charles "Scott" Kimbrell (69) of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Baptist Health in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on July 2, 1954, in Scottsburg, Indiana, to the late Charles Kimbrell and Norma (Gardner) Thomas. Scott was a graduate of Scottsburg High School Class of 1972 and attended Indiana State University and finished at Indiana Wesleyan in Psychology. He was employed in the Marine Industry for 38 years starting at Madison Marina and traveled for Chris Craft of Holland, Michigan. Before settling in Naples, Florida, he was employed as General Manager of six locations. Scott moved back to Indiana to assist with his mother and took over management of Marine Center of Indiana until cancer retired him. His Professional Associations included NMRA, NMMA, and World Top 100 Dealers. For 12 years Civic Associations included ELK, Moose, Son of American Legion, and many industry trade associations. Scott was preceded in death by his parents and brother(Tom Kimbrell). Survivors include: two nieces Kalle (Steven O' Neal) Kimbrell of Madison, Indiana and Sadi Kimbrell of Indianapolis, Indiana; one great niece, Evelyn Bryant of Indianapolis, Indiana; one nephew, Thomas (Alex Jordan) Kimbrell of Jeffersonville, Indiana; sister-in-law, Diane (Rick) Samples of Salem, Indiana; cousins and best friends (Dennis Paden and Joe Cravens). Visitation will be held on Friday January 12, 2024 from 2:00-3:00pm at Collins Funeral Home and graveside services will be at Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana with Matt Craig officiating. In keeping with Scott's wishes, cremation services have been entrusted to Collins Funeral Home. Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society c/o Collins Funeral Home.
