Charles L. Reardon, 88 of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at his residence with his family by his side. Charles was born on January 8, 1935 in Underwood, Indiana, to the late Henry and Loretta Grace (Kelley) Reardon. He was an employee of Cummins Engine in Columbus, Indiana and also worked at Morgan Foods in Austin, Indiana and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Charles enjoyed animals, antiques, and gardening. On July 11, 1952 he married Phyllis Ann (Ely) Reardon, who preceded him in death in 2016. In addition to his wife of 64 years and his parents, he was preceded in death by his two daughters, Sherry Lynn Reardon and Tami E. Shouse; step mother, Mona Reardon; a half sister, Wanda Huber; and step sister, Susie Bixler. He is survived by his daughter Lori C. (Russ) Embry of Scottsburg, Indiana; one grandson; Joseph Courtney; sister in law, Rita Masnick of Scottsburg, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday April 22, 2023 at Sodom Cemetery in Underwood, Indiana with Pastor Kevin Sills officiating.
