Charles H. Sebastian, 69, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on May 23, 2024, at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born on May 30, 1954 in Scottsburg, Indiana, to the late Sam Sebastian and Mary Diaz. Chuck devoted many years as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service in Scottsburg, Indiana. Upon retirement, Chuck pursued his passion for barbering. He enjoyed cutting hair, spending time telling jokes and talking with his friends. On July 11, 2004, Chuck married Kathy (Derringer) Sebastian, who survives. Chuck was deeply involved in various fraternal organizations, holding the esteemed title of Master Mason of the Scottsburg Masonic Lodge #572. His memberships in Scottish Rites, Eastern Star, Kentucky Colonel, and Shriners International showed his commitment to brotherhood and service. Chuck also held a special place in his heart for his dogs. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Sam 'Bud" Sebastian; and sister, LaVerne Basham. Chuck is survived by his loving wife Kathy Sebastian; two sons, Ryan (Angie) Sebastian and Charlie Sebastian, both of Scottsburg, Indiana; daughter, Mandy Sebastian of Scottsburg, Indiana; five brothers, Billy (Lois) Sebastian of Louisville, Kentucky, Dave (Janet) Sebastian of Salem, Indiana, Tom (Diane) Sebastian of Scottsburg, Indiana, Lynn (Jayne) Sebastian of Scottsburg, Indiana, and John Sebastian of Scottsburg, Indiana. He is also survived by five grandchildren Kalei Robison, Breanna Sebastian, Ashley Sebastian, Blake Engle and Brantley Cissell. A funeral service to celebrate Chuck's life will be held at Collins Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at 11:00 am. A Masonic service will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Interment will follow at Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana.
