Obituary

Charles William "Charlie" Tutterow, 75, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at his residence. He was born on December 28, 1945 in Loudon, Tennessee, the son of the late Gilbert and Juanita (Coffelt) Tutterrow. Charlie received his Bachelor's Degree in business from Indiana Central College in Indianapolis, Indiana. On July 25, 1965 he married Joanna Sue (Johnson) Tutterow, who passed away in 2009. He was the former owner of DeHart Pallet and Lumber in Austin, Indiana for twenty years. He was very active in his children and grandchildrens' lives, always coaching and helping with the kids' sports. Charlie loved giving his family a hard time. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his son, Todd (Klarinda) Tutterow of Scottsburg, Indiana; daughter, Jodi Tutterow of Columbus, Indiana; three sisters, Grace Bavender of Hagerstown, Indiana, Barbara Gaffney of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Debbie (John) Maples of Martinsville, Indiana; brother, Gilbert "Jim" Tutterow of Lexington, Indiana; and five grandchildren, Elizabeth Havron, Trevor, Kassidy, Caleb, and Kennidy Tutterow. Funeral Service: 11:00 am on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Pastor John Maples officiating. Visitation: 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, December 9, 2021 and after 10:00 am Friday at Collins Funeral Home. Interment at Scaffold Lick Cemetery in Blocher, Indiana.
