Christopher "Chris" Doren Hunt, 59, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, March 31st, 2021. He was born on September 9, 1961 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Erdist Hunt and Bernice (Embry) Hunt. Chris worked in construction for many years. He loved IU basketball and NASCAR. Chris enjoyed being outdoors, especially when hunting for deer and turkey, along with catfishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant brother, Randall Hunt. Survivors include his son, Christopher (Katasha) Hunt; two daughters, Brandy Wilson and Kristen Hunt; a brother, Richard "Rick" (Katherine) Hunt; two sisters, Kathy Hunt and Kelly Hunt (Danny Montgomery); ten grandchildren: Tyler, Breanna, Che-len, Kyleigh, Lylah, Destiny, Leeland, Aria, Calem, and Arissa and one great-grandchild Bentley. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April, 12, 2021 at 7:00 pm at First Christian Church in Scottsburg, Indiana with Pastor Matt Craig officiating. Funeral services may also be viewed by the public online at Collins Funeral Home's Facebook page. Visitation will be on Monday from 2:00 to 7:00 pm at the First Christian Church. Visitation and services will be open to the public as long as social distancing guidelines can be observed. Please follow the CDC's and Indiana State recommendations and guidelines while attending the services. Graveside Services will be at Belmont Cemetery in Morgantown, Kentucky on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 12:00 noon EST / 11:00 am CST.
