Christopher D. "Dewey" Sego, 52, or Austin, Indiana passed away peacefully in his home on October 6, 2026 with his family by his side. After dealing with several health issue for a couple years. He is survived by his wife of eleven years, Tami Sego and his nine children: Chris Sego of Deputy, Indiana, John Vest of Scottsburg, Indiana, Ashley (John) Shelton of Scottsburg, Indiana, Jeffrey Vest of Elizabeth, West Virginia, Jessie Broadus of Austin, Indiana, Jennifer (Jonathan) Wingham of Austin, Indiana, Carolann Broadus of Scottsburg, Indiana, Jon Jon Vincent of San Diego, California, Kayla (Joshua) Vincent of Borden, Indiana; a brother, Jesse Sego of Deputy, Indiana; mother, Viola Sego of Austin, Indiana; a loving nephew, Braxton (Ashton) Vincent of Sellersburg, Indiana. He was extremely close to his sister-in-law Cathy Smallwood of Scottsburg, Indiana and his brother-in-law, Jeff Semones of Deputy, Indiana.Dewey was a loving husband and devoted father. He spent his spare time with his family and adopted family, as he called them. He had several that called him "dad" or "pops". He was everyone's go to dad and he cherished every moment of it. He was also a loving grandpa to 25 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren who were the light of his life. Dewey loved his motorcycles and the rides with all the kids and family. He enjoyed all the family outings and get together with everyone and all the sports with the grandchildren. He spent his days helping everyone that needed him. He will be truly be missed by many, but never forgotten by any!Cremation services were entrusted to Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. To honor Dewey's life and legacy, a celebration of life will be held at the Collins Family Center on October 18, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Prior to this celebration, there will be a memorial ride for Dewey, allowing friends and family to pay their respects and celebrate his love for the open road.
