Dalaina M. Barrett, 36, of Lexington, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at her residence. She was born on June 14, 1984 in Clarksville, Indiana to Robert D. and Marcella E. (Pruitt ) Barrett. Dalaina was an employee of Humana in Louisville, Kentucky, where she worked for almost 15 years. She was an active member of Elevation Church, volunteering as a leader for the Young Adults Group and acting as the event coordinator. Dalaina was a 2002 graduate of Scottsburg High School. She enjoyed running in 5K's, writing, and singing. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Darlene Barrett and Barnie and Joan Pruitt; two uncles, Bruce and Michael Pruitt and a cousin, Tiffany Carpenter. Survivors include her daughter, Alexis Caudill of Lexington, Indiana; parents, Robert and Marcella Barrett of Paris Crossing; four aunts, Deborah Carpenter of Whitehouse, Tennessee, Glenda and Gina Pruitt both of Scottsburg,Indiana, and Theresa (John) Donohue of Lexington, Indiana and numerous, friends, extended family, and cousins. Funeral Service is Saturday, March, 27, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Satterly officiating. Visitation is from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation and services will be open to the public as long as social distancing guidelines can be observed. Please follow the CDC's recommendations and guidelines while attending the services and face masks will be required due to the governor's executive mandate. Interment will be in Spurgeon Cemetery near Austin, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be given to the Young Adults Group at Elevation Church c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
