Daniel Cozart, 28, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born on November 6, 1992, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, the son of Richard "Rick" Cozart and Patricia "Trish" Nowlin Cozart. Daniel was a member of the American Martyrs Catholic Church in Scottsburg, Indiana and graduated from Scottsburg High School in 2011. He had several retail jobs over the years, but recently went back to school at Vincennes University to finish his degree. He also was a Certified Audio Recorder graduating from DarkHorse Institute. Daniel was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl and Judy Cozart and grandfather, Howard Nowlin. In addition to his parents, his survivors include his brother, Patrick Cozart of Scottsburg, Indiana; his one nephew, Grayson Cozart of Scottsburg, Indiana, whom he loved playing video games with; grandmother, Janice Nowlin of Scottsburg, Indiana; cousin, who was like a sister, Chrissy Nowlin Keeling of Louisville, Kentucky; and numerous aunts, uncles, and other cousins. His witty sense of humor will be missed by all. Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Collins Funeral Home with Terry Amick officiating. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Monday and after 10 am Tuesday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Interment will be in Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana.
