Danny Richardson, 72, of North Vernon, Indiana passed away on May 18, 2025, at his home with family by his side. He was born on December 31, 1952 in Scottsburg, Indiana, to the late James Richardson and Doris (Harmon) Richardson. As a hardworking machine operator at Arvin Sango Inc. in Columbus, Indiana and a truck driver for many years. Danny was known for his dedication and strong work ethic. Danny loved NASCAR and could always be found cheering on his favorite drivers or taking long drives, relishing the freedom of the open road. Danny will also be remembered for the love he shared with his companion, Kathy, who brought joy and comfort into his life. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Brenda Hyde. Danny is survived by three sons, Greg (Angela) Richardson, Eddie Richardson, and Jeremy (Julie) Richardson; one stepson Brian Schacle, two sisters, Linda (Dennis) Cavendish and Susan (Phil) McCamish; fourteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service to be held at 2:00pm Friday, May 23, 2025, at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Pastor Rick Romero Officiating. Viewing will be prior to the service from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. Burial will follow at New Bethel Cemetery in Lexington, Indiana.
