David Lester "Dave" Crane, 74, passed away on August 1, 2025, at Vitas Hospice in Rockledge, Florida. He was born on October 8, 1950, in Scottsburg, Indiana, to the late R. Lester Crane and Lois (Alexander) Crane. He was proudly raised in good old Blocher, Indiana on the family farm. On July 16, 1984, Dave married the love of his life, Marilyn, and she survives. Dave earned his bachelor's in business later in life from Indiana University. He spent thirty-five dedicated years as a sales manager for Morgan Foods in Austin, Indiana, a role he embraced with enthusiasm and a strong work ethic. He was the proud grandfather of five grandsons who brought him immense joy. Dave cherished every moment he spent with them, sharing his love for Indiana basketball, golfing, and boating. His playful spirit and deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him. Dave is preceded in death by his parents. Dave is survived by his wife, Marilyn Crane of Charlestown, Indiana; one daughter, Lori (Ryan) Seidel of Inverness, Illinois; one son, Monty Williams of Greenwood, South Carolina; one sister Linda (Kenny) Couch; five grandchildren, Luke Seidel, Drew Seidel, Nate Seidel, Cole Seidel, and Monty Williams; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 11:00am at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Matthew Craig officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 4:00pm to 8:00pm and on Saturday prior to the funeral starting at 10:00am both at Collins Funeral Home. Burial will follow services at Scaffold Lick Cemetery in Lexington, Indiana.
