David Anthony Gates, 65, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on April 27, 2024 at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on September 17, 1958 to Imogene Napier Gates and the late Larry Gates. David was a truck driver liked to garden and loved his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Gates and one brother, Dennis Gates. He is survived by his friend, Thresa Huffman of Scottsburg, Indiana; one son, Jonathon Gates of Chelsea, Indiana; one granddaughter, Ashley Gates; his mother Imogene Napier Gates and two sisters, Shirley Woods and Gabriel Gates both of Madison, Indiana. Visitation will be held at Collins Funeral home in Scottsburg, Indiana on Monday April 29, 2024 from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm. Cremation services have been entrusted to the caring staff at Collins Funeral Home.
