Deanna Louise Strong

Deanna Louise Strong, 63, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on October 30, 2026, at Sellersburg Healthcare, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on May 16, 1963, in Louisville, Kentucky, she was the beloved daughter of Howard and Sharon Lay. Throughout her life, Deanna was known for her warmth and dedication as a wonderful homemaker and caregiver to her family. She also contributed to her community through her work at the local shoe factory.

Deanna cherished her family time, often finding joy in activities such as crocheting. She had a special fondness for watching Court TV, particularly Judge Judy, which brought her much entertainment and laughter.In addition to her parents, Deanna was preceded in death by her sister, Denise Marie Lay; brothers, Dale Allen Lay, Karl Dean Lay. She is survived by her two daughters, Brittany Poynter(Kyandre), Elizabeth "Nikkii" Bird; brother, Kenny Lay(Vicki); sister, Vickie Bonner; grandchildren; Carter Lyon, Matthew, September, Hailey Roberts, Serenity and Christian Colston; along a niece, Kayla Dell; nephew, Dustin Mason.
