Delbert Dee Sipe, 74, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023, at his home. He was born on April 16, 1949 in Scottsburg, Indiana, to the late Donald Sipe and Elsie (Sweet) Sipe. He was always in his garage working on vehicles or yard art, and also enjoyed working on the farm. He served in the Vietnam War in the United States Army. On March 26, 1969 he married Donna (Pedigo) Sipe, who survives. He was preceded in death by parents; a son, Todd Lee Sipe; and his brother, Donald Sipe. He is survived by wife, Donna Sipe of Scottsburg, Indiana; his daughter, Charity (Tom) Hacker of Scottsburg, Indiana; two sons, Steven Sipe of Scottsburg, Indiana and Deb Sipe of Scottsburg, Indiana; one brother, Danny (Jan) Sipe of Scottsburg, Indiana; one sister, Delores (Craig) Smith of Texas; nine grandchildren, Derek Sipe, Karli Sipe, Nate Coates, Scott (Shay) Bright, Anji Shoemaker, Hannah Sipe, Cody Sipe, Isabelle Duckwall, and Kason Sipe; two great grandchildren, Elena and Gabby; and several nieces and nephews. Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 28 2023, at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Pastor Aaron Flucke officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Collins Funeral Home and after 9 am Thursday until the time of service at Collins Funeral Home.
