Dennis Ray Righthouse

Dennis Ray Righthouse, 71, of Scottsburg, passed away peacefully at his home on September 17, 2026.

He was born on December 8, 1954, in Scottsburg, Indiana, the beloved son of Edward and Fern Righthouse.

Dennis worked for many years in steel manufacturing and was also a talented mechanic. He loved his family dearly and cherished time spent at family gatherings. Dennis enjoyed all types of music and took great pleasure in collecting pictures of country singers.

He will be remembered by his family and friends for his caring nature, mechanical talents, love of music, and devotion to those he held dear. In addition to his parents Dennis was preceded in death by two sisters, Diana Walton and Regina Righthouse; three brothers, James, Steve, and Tony Righthouse. He is survived by his "married at heart" companion, Tina Everitt; daughter, Shelby Alexander(Greg); step son, Chad Phillips; step grandchildren, Jimmy Lee , James Adam and Dennis Curtis; sisters, Carol Lintz, Bonita McWilliams(James); brother, Larry Righthouse; two grandchildren, Kiarra and Silas; great grandchild, Cecilia; along with many nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation held on Monday, September 21, 2026 from 4-7pm with service at 7pm at Collins Funeral Home.
