Dolores Dawn Petty, 81, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Lake Pointe Village in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on January 31, 1940 in Pike County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Thomas Dotson and Bonnie Mae (Mullins) Knable. On May 24, 1969 she married Clarence L. Petty, Sr., who passed away on May 4, 2007. Dolores was a retired cashier from Walmart in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was most proud of being a homemaker and raising her seven children. Dolores was a member of the First Baptist Church in Henryville, Indiana. She was also a volunteer for the Scott Memorial Hospital Guild. In addition to her parents and husband, Dolores was preceded in death by three children, Jeffery Blackgrave, Faith Petty, and Shirley Jones; a brother, Arlie Dotson. Survivors include two sons, Clarence Loren (Patti) Petty, Jr. of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Eric (Naomi) Petty of Henryville, Indiana; three daughters, Kelly D. (Jim) Wampler of Scottsburg, Indiana, Cindy (Chris) Richey of Scottsburg, Indiana, Heather R. (James) Howell of Deputy, Indiana; two brothers, Arthur (Sherry) Morrison of Atlanta, Georgia and Vincent Morrison of Clarksville, Indiana; one sister, Tommie Lou (Tom) Guernsey of Sellersburg; sixteen grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. Funeral Service: 11:00 am Monday, November 8, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Henryville, Indiana with Toby Jenkins officiating. Visitation: 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana and after 10:00 am Monday at First Baptist Church.
