Donald E. Misamore, 83, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, June 5, 2026, with his loving family by his side.

Born on May 29, 1943, in Scott County, Indiana, Donald was the son of the late Harry T. Misamore and Eva Misamore.

Donald was a hardworking and talented man whose skills and dedication were evident throughout his life. He retired from Aisin where he worked in Quality Control. Over the years, he was employed by several local companies, including Kelly & Wilmore Co., Golden Foundry, and the former Fishel Telephone Company, where he worked as a lineman and cable splicer. He also worked for Aisin Chemical and Aisin Drivetrain, building a reputation as a dependable and knowledgeable employee.

In addition to his professional career, Donald proudly served his community as a firefighter with the Vernon Township Volunteer Fire Department during the 1980s. He was a faithful member of Frontline Christian Ministries and valued his faith throughout his life.

Donald enjoyed spending time with his family more than anything else. He had a passion for restoring old tractors and took great pride in bringing them back to life. He and his wife also shared a love for renovating homes, buying and restoring properties together over the years. Donald's strong work ethic, creativity, and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Most of all, Donald will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose love for his family was the center of his life.In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his twin sister, Norma Wilson, and his other sisters; Martha Reynolds, Georgiana Barrett, Goldie Campbell; brothers, Carl, Robert and Edward Misamore. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Dorothy Misamore; daughter, Missy Guernsey(David); son, Donnie Misamore(Mindy); brother, Harry Misamore(Kim); along with 5 grandchildren, Kayla, Kasey, Jacob, Stephanie, Hailey; 7 great grandchildren, Isla, Braxton, Mason, Bryant, Lincoln, Presley, Lainey; 1 great-great grandchild, Gracelyn. Burial will follow at Scottsburg Cemetery.
