Dorcas "Bobby" Feltner, 92, passed away on May 5, 2024, at Norton Scott Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on June 6, 1931, in Hazard, Kentucky to the late James Deaton and Matilda Burns Deaton. Dorcas married Farris Feltner on April 9, 1949, in Hazard, Kentucky and he preceded her in death on June 10, 1986. Dorcas was a devout Christian who enjoyed spending her time reading her Bible. She also enjoyed being outdoors in God's creation, gardening and planting her flowers. In previous years Dorcas spent a lot of time playing her grand piano and singing. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her five brothers, Grover, Burky, Blaine, Ed, and Dale; three sisters, Edna, Lizzy, and Oley; two sons, Farris Feltner and George Feltner; stepsons, Gene Feltner, Charles Feltner, and Bill Feltner. She is survived by her two daughters, Patsy Hazelwood and Jacquline Russell both of Scottsburg, Indiana; stepdaughter, Bettey Richey of Scottsburg, Indiana; stepson, Jim Feltner of Scottsburg, Indiana, seven grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, 9th of May 2024 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Matt Craig officiating.
