Dorothy Collins, 79 of Lexington, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on July 24, 1943, in Underwood, Indiana, to the late John and Cecilia McClain. She was married to William Collins, who preceded her in death. Dorothy loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband William Collins; daughter Bonnie McClain; and fifteen brothers and sisters. She is survived by her four sons, Lawrence (Cherlyn) Doss of Lexington, Indiana, Billy Collins of Scottsburg, Indiana, Raymond (Hope) Collins of Bradenton, Florida, and Thomas Collins of Scottsburg, Indiana; one daughter; Patricia Doss of Lexington, Indiana; two sisters, Margaret Calvert and Marie Earringer; six grandchildren, Morgan Polley, Damien Michael Collins, Scotty Jennings, Frankie Jennings, Garnet Doss, and Mindy Doss; and eight great grandchildren Jaden Polley, Lilyana Jennings, Mary Jane Jennings, Adonas Jennings, Nathan Doss, Hailey Doss, Alaina Doss, Brianna Doss, and Isaiah Doss. Services will be held at 12:00 Noon Friday February 10, 2023, at Collins Funeral Home.
