Dr. Vana Howard Evans, 68, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on February 28, 1952 in Connersville, Indiana, the son of the late James R. Evans and Lovetta (Riebsomer) Evans. Dr. Evans was an Optometrist at Walmart in Scottsburg, Indiana, attended the First Christian Church and was an United States Navy veteran. He was very proud to host family and friends at their home annually for get together he had named Camp Swampy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dana Evans. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn J. (Bridge) Evans; six sons, Kevin (Amy) Evans and Jared Evans all of Bloomington, Indiana, Kirk (Lindsey) Evans of Apollo, Florida, Justin Evans of State of Washington, Matthew LaMaster of Chicago, Illinois and Jonathan (Kyoko) LaMaster of Japan; a daughter, Holly (Dan) Watson of Scottsburg, Indiana; a sister, Jama Martin of Indianapolis, Indiana and five grandchildren, Savanah, Charlee and Raleigh Watson and Mia and Jon Jean LaMaster. Cremation services were entrusted to Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Graveside Service: 10:00 am on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Wesley Chapel Cemetery near Austin, Indiana.
