Earl Porter, 71, of Underwood, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Scott Memorial Hospital. He was born on July 30, 1949 in Hazard, Kentucky, the son of the late Manuel Porter, Sr. and June (Colwell) Porter. Earl was a self employed dry wall contractor, also had worked at Morgan Foods and was a Christian. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing his guitar and singing with his friends. Survivors include a son, Bobby Porter of Underwood, Indiana; three brothers, David (Loretta) Porter of Stinnett, Kentucky, Manuel Porter, Jr. of Austin, Indiana and John Wayne (Kim) Porter of Greenwood, Indiana; four sisters, Phyllis Jean Bowling, Diana (Dave) Clark and Debra Kaye (Walter) Turner all of Scottsburg, Indiana and Helen Sue (Donald) Helton of Lexington, Indiana; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Cremation services were entrusted to Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Graveside services will be held at a later date at New Providence Cemetery.
